New Frontiers for Lifelong Learning is an exciting educational opportunity for adults in the East Valley. We are a peer-led, self-directed organization of 300 members. New Frontiers is hosted by Mesa Community College and affiliated with EIN (Elderhostel Institute Network), CARES (Center for Adults: Resources, Education and Services) and LIRAA (Learning in Retirement Arizona Association).

New Frontiers is self governed with members participating in Council and Committee activities as well as course development. Many members participate year after year in both study groups, and social and volunteer activities leading to richly rewarding friendships.

We offer you the opportunity to join our interactive study groups. Classes are held at Mesa Community College at Southern & Dobson, MCC at Red Mountain (Power and McKellips Roads), and MCC Downtown Center (Country Club & Brown), as well as several off-campus sites.

We are:

  • Exploring, developing and expanding new territories for learning
  • Building new educational and social resource for colleges
  • Serving ourselves and the communities in which we live

Members also enjoy:

  • Pleasurable social gatherings
  • A chance to volunteer in many worthy projects
  • Fascinating tours and trips
  • Meaningful participation in setting the goals and activities for our own learning

Council and committee meetings are held at 9:30 am in the lower level of the Kirk Student Center, MCC Southern & Dobson Campus, Mesa. Members are welcome to attend.

Council meets the second Monday; Membership meets the first Thursday; Curriculum meets the second Thursday; Social/Volunteer meets the first Monday of the month.
